Decorating tips within your budget

Decorating tips within your budgetAre you looking for interior décor that are close to your dreams as well as within your budget? Here we are to provide you budget-friendly decorating tips.
The painting session:
Paints breathe new life and energy to your room. Try alternating colors such as maroon and beige- maroon as the surface paint on one wall while beige as the trim color.

When you are done with the painting, make sure that the walls don’t have cracks and holes in the walls. To fix the problem, spackling is necessary, followed by applying a mild sand paper on the area. Allow the spackling to dry- wait for at least 48 hours.

Light fixtures:
Include all the three types of lighting- ambient, task lighting and accent lighting.

To begin with, buy a traditional hanging pendant for ambient lighting. Incorporate complementary fixtures to provide accent and track lighting. Make sure that the illumination is uniform and looks natural.

Flowers:
Fresh flowers also serve as inexpensive decorating items for your home.

For your perfect bachelor’s pad

For your perfect bachelor’s padSo you are single, (but like to mingle!), isn’t it? Now to have folks comin’ over to you all the time (this includes girls as well!) you need to focus on donning up you pad by creating a relaxing and welcoming atmosphere, sort of a lounge bar… sounds good? Below are some quick tips to make your living space more comfortable, so that you can impress your female friends with your well decorated private sanctuary. Let them increase their visit!

Window treatment:
To begin with, use a peel-and-stick window treatment. These artscapes are available in rolls. All you need to do is just cut to the size of the window pane, peel off and stick onto the window. These can be easily removed by wetting them and pulling them off. They are a good replace for curtains in windows.

Walls:
Color of your walls reflects the overall theme of your room. Paint the walls and the ceiling too. Beige is a good option. The tan in the middle is a good wall color.

Bedding:
When you choose colors and patterns for bedding and curtains, make sure that the patterns look masculine. Look for the designs that are used in men’s clothing such as plaids, stripes and colors of navy, black and dark green. Red serves as good accent color for pillows and rugs.

Closet, book cases, curtains:
Closets and book shelves maximize the space of your room. Organize the miscellaneous stuff in storage drawers. When the book cases are not in use, hide them using curtains. 100% cotton fabric or a mix of polyester and cotton is preferable for curtains because they are easily washable.

Accessories:
Choose the lamps and light fixtures with a rustic look or contemporary stainless finish.

Furniture:
Replace the old woodwork in the furniture with leather paint finish. Leather is masculine and is easy to clean.

Think big. Make it bigger!

HomeIs your home not as spacious as you’d like it to be? By applying some color techniques, furniture arranging and lighting, you can make your house look bigger and spacious.  Follow some clever tricks and fool the eyes of the visitors!
Cool colors, more space: It is all about illusion. Light colors make your room look bigger and brighter. Cream and icy blues are a few of the best color combinations. Light and brightly colored walls are more reflective making a space feel open and airy.

Use multi-function furniture: Look for a chest that can be used as a coffee table, sofa beds, chest of drawers, and beds with drawers for storage etc Use an extendable dining table, and folding tables which can be pushed away when not in use.

Illuminate accordingly: Let the natural light come in. This will open up the tiny room into a bigger living area. You can also add some lighting features to the room which will make it look spacious.

Keep it tidy: Nothing can work out if you don’t keep your home tidy and organized. Get the things neatly arranged, and look at how spacious your home appears to be!
