Are you in efforts to make your bedroom look elegant and royal? Want to introduce a touch of style, tradition and comfort in your bedroom. Do you feel like bringing an alluring style to antique furniture? Just wait. We are giving you some excellent tips that will help to make your bedroom royal. Just refurbish your old recliners and bed sets and introduce them in the bedroom. Remember that the wooden beds with intricate hand carvings will add an old-world royal touch to the room. Just replace the old bed sheets with new silk bed sheets and pillow cases will complement antique furniture. Believe me; it will make the room spacious and rich.
Now introduce full length silk curtains in deep shades of maroon and blue to add an aura of mysticism to the room. Want to make antique chairs and recliners look more comfortable? Then here is an easy way. Equip them with soft decorative cushions lined with silk and lace.
Most probably, the antique furniture is made of mahogany, walnut, or oak wood. Even though the may be classy to look at and comfortable to use, the dark colors make a small bedroom look dingy. This makes it more comfortable to choose white antiques for small spaces. It will help in brightening up the room and creating the illusion of space. Even though, it does not have a definitive style but is truly unique. By getting fit into any home with ease it makes your bedroom cool by giving a lighter feel. Now team them up with airy linen curtains and pastel-cooled bedspreads. Keep plush woollen carpets and rugs in white which will complement this kind of furniture.
While coming to furniture, contemporary translates to minimalist. Keep contemporary furniture in your bedroom to give it a royal look. Prefer sleek functional furniture which will allow maximum floor space. Designer metal furniture is also a good choice.

Spring has arrived! So are millions of pollen spores and other allergens in spread in the air which causes allergies during this season. You don’t have to be outdoors to intensify your allergies. The dust particles sticking under the carpet, in the couch, in your bed spreads are welcoming enough for various types of allergies. The dust is in fact the pollution indoors. So, steer clear all the dust mites and mold inside your home causing allergic reaction. Clean your home and keep your home allergy-proof. Here are few tips to be followed which will help you cut down those household allergens.
The best place to start with is your own bedroom. Do you know that your bedroom is a safe haven for millions of dust mites to live in? These dust mites rest on your pillows, bed spreads, blankets and mattresses. Their population multiplies in July and August. Well, this shocking info will definitely drive you towards cleaning up the room. Wash your linens once a week in the hot wash mode. The temperature for washing the linens should be 130 degrees.
Another way to get rid of the indoor allergens is by buying allergen-proof pillow case and bed cover. We suggest you to buy them because they are really worth investing.
The second safe haven for the dust mites is your child’s stuffed animals laying all over your home. Get the stuffed animals washed. If you find that your child has out-grown the stuffed toys, it is better to throw them away rather than keeping them at home to encourage the breeding of dust mites.
We know your pet is your best friend. He is like a family member for you. But, you should also know that your pet is not a buddy to your allergies. It is also found that many people are allergic to cat dander. So, the very choice of pet should be made wisely. Since cats have the most allergens (followed by dogs), light haired female cats should be preferred to dark-haired male cats because they cause fewer allergy symptoms.
To control the dander you should make sure that your Fluffy stays off the furniture. Pet allergens also get accumulated on thick carpets, large draperies and upholstered furniture. So, you should keep them at some distance to the furniture. Don’t forget to wash your pet once a week.
Pollen is also a very sticky traveler. So, remove your shoes when you come inside the house. Washing your hair before you go to sleep is also a good way to cut down on wayward pollen spores that have collected there.
By following the guidance, you will realize that your home becomes allergy proof!

When it comes to decorating small spaces, you require being more innovative. Though small rooms require less furniture, accessories and you can decorate them within a small budget, they often look cluttered. You can get the inviting appearance in your small rooms by an organized decoration of the rooms. Here are a few decorating ideas for small space that you should follow to ensure a much de-cluttered and organized space.
First of all, you should clear out the clutter in your rooms. Nothing can be eating-up the space like the stuff that is of no more use.
Let us start with the kitchen. Since there is not as much space as a bigger kitchen, you should utilize over-the-cabinet space in the kitchen for storage purposes. To add the decorative element, suspend a rack from the ceiling and hang a pot from the rack. Place the cooking apparatus in cabinets and drawers and the spices in baskets.
Now let us move on to the living room. Lighter shades give an illusive effect of space. Light, cool colors make a space feel open and airy. You could open up the space by painting the walls with light color. Bring in the natural light by using curtains. A coffee table accumulates much space in the living room. So, use an ottoman with a tray on top to hold drinks and prop up you feet. Instead of huge and bulky sofa, you can use sofa-cum-bed as furniture for the living room. Move the furniture out and away from walkways to open up the space and make it feel larger.
Talking about your bedroom, you can create much space by some creative thinking. Night tables can be avoided in your bedroom. Instead, mount a small shelf on each side of the bed to hold nighttime needs like a small lamp. Place bins under your bed and store out-of-season clothing in them.
The bathroom in your small apartment can be as luxurious as a bigger one by some modifications. Use an over-the-commode shelving unit to hold essentials. Instead of a towel bar, you can hang up the towels using decorative hooks.
The lighting in your home should be creating an illusion of space. Get rid of heavy draperies and open up the windows to let the light of the outdoors into the space. Add more lamps or install track lighting or recessed lighting.
By opening up the space, you will love to live in your small and beautiful home!
