Step 1:
For a moderately clogged drain, you can use baking soda and vinegar. Put about ½ cup of baking soda into the drain, then slowly pour ½ cup of vinegar down the drain. The acidic nature of baking soda and the basic nature of vinegar will create a foaming action which will loosen the clog so that it can be rinsed away.
Step 2:
Plunging and pumping a drain is a steadfast way to clear drain blockages. Place the plunger directly over the drain and pump rapidly up and down several times. When you take away the plunger, the water should drain away. If it doesn’t, try again.
Step 3:
If your drain is still blocked, using a drain auger is a good option. Drain auger is a thin long piece of coiled metal with a hook at the end. Feed the auger down through the drain, turning it as you push it through the drainpipe. Either you will push the blockage or pull it up with the help of the hook.
Step 4:
Now, run hot water down the drain once you have opened the blockage. Hot water will wash away anything that may be sticking to the sides of the drainpipes.

When it comes to decorating small spaces, you require being more innovative. Though small rooms require less furniture, accessories and you can decorate them within a small budget, they often look cluttered. You can get the inviting appearance in your small rooms by an organized decoration of the rooms. Here are a few decorating ideas for small space that you should follow to ensure a much de-cluttered and organized space.
First of all, you should clear out the clutter in your rooms. Nothing can be eating-up the space like the stuff that is of no more use.
Let us start with the kitchen. Since there is not as much space as a bigger kitchen, you should utilize over-the-cabinet space in the kitchen for storage purposes. To add the decorative element, suspend a rack from the ceiling and hang a pot from the rack. Place the cooking apparatus in cabinets and drawers and the spices in baskets.
Now let us move on to the living room. Lighter shades give an illusive effect of space. Light, cool colors make a space feel open and airy. You could open up the space by painting the walls with light color. Bring in the natural light by using curtains. A coffee table accumulates much space in the living room. So, use an ottoman with a tray on top to hold drinks and prop up you feet. Instead of huge and bulky sofa, you can use sofa-cum-bed as furniture for the living room. Move the furniture out and away from walkways to open up the space and make it feel larger.
Talking about your bedroom, you can create much space by some creative thinking. Night tables can be avoided in your bedroom. Instead, mount a small shelf on each side of the bed to hold nighttime needs like a small lamp. Place bins under your bed and store out-of-season clothing in them.
The bathroom in your small apartment can be as luxurious as a bigger one by some modifications. Use an over-the-commode shelving unit to hold essentials. Instead of a towel bar, you can hang up the towels using decorative hooks.
The lighting in your home should be creating an illusion of space. Get rid of heavy draperies and open up the windows to let the light of the outdoors into the space. Add more lamps or install track lighting or recessed lighting.
By opening up the space, you will love to live in your small and beautiful home!

In Feng Shui bathroom, you can actually avoid any negative energy coming your way. Follow some universal principles in keeping your bathroom miles apart from all the bad drain energy they produce. Here are some tips for your Feng Shui bathroom.
The location: If you have a two-storey building then your bathroom should never be located right above the main house door or its wall. Your Feng Shui bathroom should not be visible from the main door of the house. Bathroom should face neither your bedroom nor your kitchen. The bathroom should not share their walls as well because all these elements bring negative energy to the residents.
Door and the seat: Always put the seat down and the door closed to keep the energy inside the bathroom. People have found it practically impossible to keep the doors closed because you need to let the steam out after a shower. Many bathrooms get a musky type smell when the bathroom door is kept close for a long time. However, if you want to let the positive Chi remain intact in your bathroom, it is recommended to keep the door closed.
If you don’t want to keep your door opened, place a plant on top of the toilet itself. Plants deflect the bad drain energy and add life force to your bathroom. Wind chimes by the window will also serve the purpose.
Colors: The ideal colors for your Feng Shui bathroom are earthy shades of brown or yellow. Therefore, the earth element in the colors would absorb the water element keeping it in the room and allowing its beneficial effects to remain in the house and be continuous for the people living in it.
The interiors: The toilet seat and the bathtub should have some space between them to allow the Chi to flow around. The windows should not be located directly in front of the door.
This way, design your Feng Shui bathroom and let the positive Chi flow into one of the relaxing rooms of your home!
