How to Make French Country Decorated Bedrooms
![]() |
Well, are you looking to bring in a French Country Decoration into your bedroom? Then a few things need to be considered to ensure that the finished look is fine.
As the first step, you need to look at style and colour. Most French Country Decorating designs are set against the background of whitewashed woodwork and are capable to co-ordinate with a wide palette of colours. The bedroom flowers are fine with toile patterns. Take care to use materials that are luxurious to the touch. Look more to add some traditional French lace if at all possible to the design or even some brocade may be included within the design as well.
It is fine, if you could consider some light blue or light green walls or even a golden colour. The important thing is to make it look faded or white washed as if it is antique. Bring out matching colours in your patterns to the walls, curtains, rugs and accessories. Try out to add some antique accessories around the room with “chippy paint” which will help in giving it an authentic look for the French Countryside. These are available at fairly reasonable prices in local antique markets and even some thrift or consignment stores.
Next we need to look at windows and lighting. Try out for soft sheers and tailored curtains and drapes to have more authentic French design. The lighting to the room should be ornate with the lamps and must also help in accentuating the walls and fabrics in the room. Take care to have the furniture used in a French Country Bedroom decoration be a few pieces that have been either wood stained or colour painted so as to help ground the room and make everything sit in perfect harmony with each other. Take care that the French Country style bedroom is surrounded by beauty and style while you sleep.
