Comment Ideas for decorating teen’s rooms in a tropical style
![]() |
You may have designed your kids’ room earlier as well, but they cant continue with Mr. Mickey on their walls, coz they are now in High school! They might be hiding their soft toys under their beds. Now that they have grown up, it is high time you changed the entire look of their rooms. Here are some ideas to decorate their haven.
First of all, sit with your young man/ woman to discuss the likes and dislikes. Share the decorating ideas with them- what kind of flooring they want, the window coverings, the accessories and mainly, the color of the walls.
After discussing the plan, take into account the size of the room, the practicality of the style and of course, your budget.
Now choose the theme of the room. If your teenager loves animals, then decorating the room in a tropical style will be the best. Since they are so much popular these days, you will be able to find the fabrics, accessories and materials in the stores easily.
The tropical style demands a sense of warmth. The exotic sense of the room will keep the teenager inspired. So, use different animal prints and grass cloth on the walls.
The furniture should be comfortable. What about soft cushions of a zebra stripe couch? Well, it will give the perfect tropical effect!
Supply your teenager with a tiger print trunk for storage purposes. Your teen will find it good to store his/her shoes, bedding, or anything else which s/he leaves scattered around the room.
Keep fabrics lush and soft. A fake fur cheetah bed sheet is a good choice. You can also mix match the animal print designs for instance, leopard spots and tiger stripes with animal images. A lion poster on the wall will serve the purpose.
These decorating ideas will surely inspire your teenager to live in his/her private sanctuary.
