Water and electronics don’t go too well together. Ever dropped your phone in a tub, swimming pool or toilet? While there’s a slim chance of it staying healthy and hearty, but still there’s a chance. So let’s see what can be done… Get the phone out of water ASAP The water will enter it from all possible gaps and openings within as little as 8 seconds. You don’t have much time! Don’t switch on the cell If the phone has blanked out, don’t make the mistake of switching it on. Remove the Battery By far the most crucial step, immediately you have taken your cell phone out of water, take the battery out.
Remove the SIM card and memory chip Continue removing memory chip and the sim card. Dry your phone Use a hair dryer, works wonders. Leave it. Don’t try to experiment or fiddle with it. Leave the phone let it dry on its own. Test your phone Once you have patiently waited for a day or so, do one last check to ensure that everything is looking dry and clean and insert your battery and try to switch on the phone. If the phone doesn’t start, plug it into its charger and give it another go. If this works it means that you will need to invest in a new battery. But if it doesn’t, just wait for another few days before trying again. And if it still doesn’t work, take your phone to an authorized dealer. If they can’t fix it, nobody can.
