Try Round Kitchen Table

Try Round Kitchen TableIn the modern days, new designed kitchen tables are the new hit. The round kitchen tables are in by kicking out sharp angular kitchen tables. Do you follow Feng Shui manual? If then, no need to tell you the reasons.  You may better know that your kitchen will be that much more in harmony if your kitchen table is either round or oval. Now if you already have a rectangular kitchen table, then at least try to have its corners rounded.

Taking Feng Shui a little further, try to get your round kitchen table colored in yellow. So in that case pine or another light colored wood seems like a better choice.
Now if you are not a Feng Shui fan, then also we have options. Don’t worry.  In such a case we can consider the other very practical advantages of round kitchen tables. Primarily you can always find room to seat one more person around a round kitchen table. At times you may have a large family or many people to visit and this table will be much helpful. The long as you have enough kitchen chairs, you could squeeze one more person in.

As there are no sharp corners that protrude from the table, these round kitchen tables are a better bet if you have small children running around. You can always try putting padding for protectors on the right-angled corners of the square table. Another advantage of round table is that it will stay beautiful as it won’t need for any further protection. The few soft curves and circles on the table will make a welcome visual break as well.

There is also a social aspect to these round kitchen tables that makes it a welcome design. There is no “pecking order” in terms of who sits where. Escape from hierarchical protocol. If you need to get people involved in discussions and feeling fully part of the coffee meeting, the round tables will be the best option.

A Man’s Kitchen

A Man’s KitchenWhat’s the difference between a man’s kitchen and a woman’s kitchen? A lot believe me, especially a working mans kitchen, for one there would be hardly any frills and little potpourri packs hanging around. But this does not mean it would be lacking in any essential details, it would be well just masculine.

A lot of men (alright not a lot but still quite a few) have started enjoying cooking for themselves and even their partners. Just look at the many shows hosted by guys on the Food Network, BBQ with Bobby Flay, Molto Mario, Tyler’s Ultimate, Oliver’s Twist, Emeril Live to name a few.

One thing that we guys love are tools and gadgets, and you would not believe the range available for kitchen tools. Take the new kitchen design by Porsche–Poggenpohl Kitchen P’7340, functional but flashy; sexy but simple, Porsche’s new “man kitchen” is designed to answer modern man’s every gastronomic need,(it is also supposed to make cooking easier than ever)

The kitchen is notable for its innovative framework, purist styling and high-quality materials. Kitchen appliances maker Miele & Cie. KG is the exclusive supplier of all fitted electric appliances – from ovens to steam cookers to dishwashers.

It’s the gadgetry will leave you wowed, it has everything and more that you could ever imagined styled for the masculine taste of course;

An audio-video system, a diminutive plug-and-play sound system offers both analogue and digital connections.

All electronics in the built-in LCD module are installed behind glass for protection, and they require no ventilation system..

All cabinets can be opened without handles: a gentle touch of the finger opens pull-out elements and drawers thanks to built-in high-precision systems, while a light push suffices to make them all withdraw and, over the final centimeters, go back automatically into their original position.

Storage:
Store your kitchen appliances and gadgets on the counter tops. Another option is a kitchen cart which gives extra storage space so that the room looks tidy.

But, what if when your refrigerator (whatever the model is) gets older breaks down so frequently? What if the “cool” household appliance suddenly stops cooling? Strange, isn’t it? A refrigerator which doesn’t keep your food cool is equivalent to a home without walls!
So if the refrigerator doesn’t cool at all, the problem may be with the basic electrical controls. Your refrigerator may have dirty condenser coils, a loosely sealed door or a defective temperature control.

First of all, check the cold control. Make sure that it is set to be cold. If your refrigerator has a mechanical timer, you must set the coldest setting and advance the defrost timer. You can also manually advance the timer with the help of a screwdriver. You have to insert the screwdriver into the advancement pinion and turn it clockwise. Now, check if the light comes on when you open the door. Make sure that the thermostat is set properly. Now, listen to the freezer fan inside the freezer. If you find that the freezer fan is running properly, this means that the defrost timer and the cold control in the refrigerator are both set to cool.

Now check whether the compressor motor is running properly. Naturally, if your freezer fan is working fine, the compressor fan should also work properly.

If the fans are not working or the compressor is off, then dude, you will have to call a repairperson!

Concrete countertops- look for the best!

Concrete countertops- look for the best!Countertop creates an impact on both the look and the functionality of kitchen, bathroom or any other utility space. Countertops are available in a variety of materials out of which concrete countertops are gaining popularity. The low-sheen finish of the material has an artistic appeal. Here is guidance for you to choose the best among the concrete countertops. Read on.

When you look for concrete countertops in the market, you can notice that these countertops come with subtle variations in color and finish. They are actually a combination of cement, lightweight aggregate and additives. Mottled colors are created by embedding glass or marble chips into the surface. Some artisans also offer veined, marble-like textures as well as clean monotones.

When some surfaces are polished to a low-sheen finish, others have an exposed sand-aggregate finish. You can personalize countertops by embedding fossils, medallions, coins, or other items in the surface. Because of the labor and artistry that go into making them, concrete countertops are considered a luxury product.

As far as the nature of the material is concerned, it is porous, which can absorb moisture left on it for an extended period. However, if the sealer is affected, it will get stained. Acids such as lemon, wine, and vinegar can etch the surface. Knives can damage the sealer. Extreme heat won’t hurt the concrete itself but can burn and crack the sealer.

Since the concrete countertop is susceptible to such damages, look for the countertops that are made by concrete mixes and structural reinforcement systems, including wire mesh, fiber, fiberglass, and rebar. Look for an experienced fabricator who could carry out the methods for curing, polishing and sealing their countertops. Ask which reinforcement system is used and how far the surfaces can span without support. Also ask which sealer is used to protect the concrete.

This way, make sure that you get the best deal of concrete countertops.
