Though most of us have a great passion for gardening, we tend to ignore soil aeration. It is worth noting that a healthy garden can happen only when the soil gets enough air and water and watering of your garden at the right time and daily is an absolute must to keep it healthy.
Let us access easy ways by which we can prepare soil of garden in quick time. The first thing that you need to do is to examine the nature of soil. If the garden soil has clay, it is recommended that you add compost or peat moss to it. Organic matter has to be added for sandy soil and loamy soil is best left untouched.
Then, you need to apply fertilizers to the soil and follow it with lifting up the mowing height to one level. You then need to raise this height to one level up and aerate the soil, either manually or by using equipments, a month later. It is good to remember that you need to soak the soil a day before aerating it. You also need to move across the soil with aerator only once on a certain area and leave the soil layer wherever it falls.
When it comes to garden watering, the best time to water garden is early morning when the sun is not at its best. Deep watering for 4-6 inches will help the roots to grow quickly. For watering lawn, it is good to give 1-inch water after every three days a week during summer and 1-inch water in a week for other seasons.
