Table Manners You Should Know

MannersNow if your mommy never taught you table manners, and if no one likes to eat with you coz you hog like a glutton, then it’s time you learn them. Read on and imbibe the following in your lifestyle.
Don’t stoop:
You should sit up straight and never slouch or lean back on your chair. Resting your elbows on the table is also a big no-no if you’re eating in any place fancier.
Don’t be messy:
Have a napkin tugged in your shirt, if you are a messy eater, but try not to eat like a five year old kid!
Avoid using your fingers:
Humans have created spoon and fork. Make use of them!

Don’t reach for food:
Instead of reaching out for the food that’s across the table, you should request the person sitting closest to the dish to pass it on to you.

Don’t bite too big a bite:
Howsoever tempting the food looks, avoid taking huge bites.

Don’t talk while eating:
Never talk while chewing your food coz you end up spraying the food on the other person!

Don’t pick on your teeth:
If a particle of food gets stuck in your teeth, don’t start picking away on it on the table

Don’t talk about unpleasant things:
It’s so irritating when a pleasant meal gets ruined due to one of your companion’s insistence to talk about unpleasant topics like shit or phlegm!

Traveling Etiquettes

EtiquettesWhen we are out on a vacation, it’s important that we follow the culture and manners of the place of our visit. It is in a way giving respect to the place of our visit and its people.
Don’t Disturb People Around You:
When you are using a public transportation, make sure that your disposal is not offensive to anyone. Don’t stare at ladies!
Be polite:
When talking to shop-owners, passengers or people in general, make sure you are polite and speak softly.
Watch your belongings:
No one, but you should take care of your own belongings. Keep your carry bags on your lap and don’t occupy the seat beside you with your bag.

Say thank you:
to anyone who helps you! Whether that person has given you directions or has let you get on to the tube first or has given his seat. It’s appreciating and acknowledging the effort. And yeah, do it with a smile, so that it looks genuine!

Drive carefully:
If you are driving, then keep a cool head and resist the urge to jump red-lights or break other road rules that are easier to do in a small city.

Gym Etiquettes

GymIt’s good that you have decided to hit the gym, but before you do that, you must keep in mind the basic gym mannerisms, so that people don’t find you a nuisance.
Proper Gym Gear
Not only will you be comfortable working out in a track suit but also it will maintain the decorum of the gymnasium.
Re-Rack After Use
You must keep the fee weights at their proper place and order for convenience of the next person.

Wipe After Use
If your sweat has soiled the mat or any gym equipment, you must wipe it before going for some other equipment.

Don’t Loiter Around
If you are done working out, make a move. It’s rude to eye on people (read women) working out in the gym!

Cologne puhleez
Use a cologne or deodorant that’s not over-powering. You don’t want the people working out in the gym to faint!

Shopping Etiquettes

ShoppingFollow these shopping etiquettes and make you shopping a good experience for both you and people around.
Don’t Fight With Co-shopper:
Yeah, the fellow has taken the only cigarette packet from the rack but since he was the one to pick it up first, it’s his!
Bargain politely:
Again, the sales person is just doing his job and he’s not the one who has fixed the price of some stuff. If you bargain, do it politely without being offensive.

Carry change:
It’s irritating and rude to keep people waiting in long queues, while you are hopping around looking for change. While you may think that it looks kind of cool to flash a 50 dollar note to pay for a cup of coffee, try to pay with small bills to avoid hassles.

Greet but don’t yap:
A polite “hello” or a “hi” acknowledging the presence of the cashier, might get you better and quicker service, but don’t become over friendly and start talking to them as if you just met a long lost friend.

Don’t hover at ATMs If you want to use the ATM to withdraw cash and there’s already someone else using it, don’t stand too close to the machine. Keep at a polite distance.
